How to apply your Flower vinyl’s from Hippy Motors
First only apply in dry conditions when you are confidant that it will stay dry for a couple of hours afterwards. Sun is best as you’ll also get a free tan during the application.
1 – First wash the surface with soapy water to remove dirt, grit and grease.
2 – Keep the surface wet. Then with wet fingers peel off a ring of petals. Keeping your fingers wet will ensure the self adhesive will not stick to you.
Tip: With larger petals peel many petals at a time to avoid stretching/ripping the material. You can even dip the petal into water which makes it easier.
3 – Put the petal onto the wet surface. You can reposition as long as it is wet. It should really just float onto the surface. Remove any air bubbles by squeezing them towards the outer edges with your fingers.
4 – Peel off a flower centre of a different colour and place it in the middle of the petals. Ensure it’s still wet to ensure it does not stick too fast. Press the air out.
5 – As it is drying over time ensure it is sticking down okay. When completely dry it is permanent (but they can come off if heated up with a hair drier).
